Trapping Nasties

Our team of enthusiastic volunteers regularly check and clear some 30 predator traps from Tapu Bay to Little Kaiteriteri. The traps are an approved DOC design, safe for our local birdlife and inquisitive children. Since mid 2019 some 185 rats and 8 stoats have been caught. Thanks to Pics Peanut Butter in Nelson we have free peanut butter to use as lure, which rats find irresistible!

To add some variety to the menu, blood formula and dried rabbit help to mix it up a bit. Yum!
