Rescue Time!

Uh oh, rescue time! A couple of little blues fell into a trench on a local building site and couldn't get out. Luckily the builder was on to it; he called DOC who came to the rescue with the help of a couple of locals. Twice! Yes, a few days later the penguins were back in the trench! The helpful builder put up extra barricades to help keep them out of tricky places.

Little penguins are very loyal to their nesting site so even if it transforms into a building site, they will try and make it home. It's a sign of the times that residential development is displacing penguin habitat which makes it even more important that we help our little blues any way we can.
