Mega Thanks to Mitre 10 Mega Nelson

Massive shout out to Mitre 10 Mega Nelson for their wonderful support in helping out an upgrade to rehab pool for our little blues.  Mitre 10 Mega supplied essential kit such as the pool pump and cleaning kit, as well as collaborating with Waimea Menz Shed to build the ramp and haulout house.

The penguins love it!
Injured and sick penguins are nursed back to full health for release but before heading out to sea again they have do some training to get their swim muscles tuned up.  We also need to ensure their feathers are 100% waterproof.  A few days doing bumps and circuits around their own private swimming pool is perfect!
