Talking Penguins at the Motueka Library

In October we had the pleasure of presenting a penguin talk at the Motueka Library to local community with guest speaker Prof John Cockrem, distinguished penguin biologist of Massey University. John spoke about the life cycle and challenges of little penguins/korora who share our local beaches. With some 35 years of scientific penguin research to draw from, John’s presentation was rich with evidence-based research.

Also presenting was Dr Mana Stratton, an experienced local penguin rehabilitator who shared some of her challenges and successes with little blues.

Thanks to both for making the evening such a success and for sharing their knowledge and support of our conservation work.

And thank you to everyone who came along - what a great turnout!!
